Bloomfield brings over 18 years of distinguished experience in health data and life sciences, with a proven track record of creating innovative solutions that improve health outcomes and accelerate research. Her appointment strengthens Asher Informatics' position as a trusted partner for organizations implementing AI technologies in healthcare environments globally.

International Leadership in AI-Healthcare Innovation

At insitro, Bloomfield leads the development and execution of novel collaborative data partnerships that enable AI-driven drug discovery. Her strategic role involves bridging cutting-edge AI research with practical clinical implementation—expertise directly aligned with Asher Informatics' mission.

Previously, Bloomfield served as Director and Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for the Data for R&D Programme at NHS England's Centre for Improving Data Collaboration, where she oversaw the strategy and delivery of NHS and Government investments in health data for research and innovation.

Proven Track Record in Medical AI Leadership

Prior to her NHS England role, Bloomfield served as CEO of the UK National Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging (NCIMI) at the University of Oxford. In this capacity, she led a complex consortium comprising 14 hospitals, 13 industry partners, and world-leading academic researchers in AI, imaging, data science, and ethics.

Academic Excellence and Executive Expertise

Bloomfield holds a DPhil in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, where she focused on assessing preclinical models of schizophrenia. She has also completed several executive education certificates from Oxford's Said Business School, combining deep scientific knowledge with strategic business acumen.
